Last night, the Gran Canarian municipality of Agaete closed the musical program of the fifth edition of the Mercado de las Artes Performativas del Atlántico Sur, MAPAS, in Gran Canaria, with an intense day of live music in Puerto de Las Nieves, whose protagonists were ten artists from different origins, who have come from Senegal, Argentina, Reunion, Mexico, and different Spanish towns, including four groups from the Canary Islands that move between jazz, reggae, dub and other styles: Gabriela Suárez, Dactah Chando, Ida Susal and The Conqueror Project were the island bands that shared the stage with Pipo Romero (Spain), Cheik Ibra Fam (Senegal), Siwo (Spain), Manu Sija (Argentina), Sundri Feeling (Reunion) and Bial Hclap (Mexico). Yesterday's in Agaete was the third day of concerts in the musical program of MAPAS Mercado, in showcase, after those held last Monday and Tuesday in the Plaza de San Juan, in Arucas, and in the Insular Sports Center, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. MAPAS Mercado moves from tomorrow, Thursday, until Saturday 9, to Santa Cruz de Tenerife with the performing arts programme, with business roundtables and exhibitions.
