La Comedia Nacional es el elenco de teatro estable de la ciudad de Montevideo. Fue fundada en 1947 por iniciativa de destacadas personalidades del ámbito cultural y político. Se consolida sobre la diversidad de textos, directores y estilos. Combina el montaje de los clásicos, tanto del teatro universal como local, con la apuesta a nuevos dramaturgos.
