The fourth edition of the Market of Performative Arts of the South Atlantic, MAPAS, programs a day of artistic exhibitions and professional meetings that will take place, in parallel, in Gran Canaria and Tenerife. Fourteen international shows and three professional meetings complete the MAPAS proposal for today, Thursday, December 16, the day on which the market offers activities in both Canary Islands capitals.<\/p>\n

Last day in Gran Canaria<\/strong><\/p>\n

MAPAS says goodbye to the capital of Gran Canaria with five shows and a round table. The day will begin with 'Re-inform: meeting of Culture journalists', an activity that within the 'MAPAS Conversations' program will bring together \u00c1ngeles Jurado (El Pa\u00eds and Casa \u00c1frica), Victoriano Su\u00e1rez (Canarias 7) and Carlos Gil (Artezblai). Nicol\u00e1s Castellano (Cadena SER) will act as moderator.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon the scenic activity begins at 4:00 pm at the Guiniguada Theater with the canaries from Burka Teatro and their play 'Theroomtobe'. The Chileans from Cirkoqoshka will offer their work 'Il concerto' at the CICCA, from 5:30 p.m. The dancer Paula Quintana will take the stage of the P\u00e9rez Gald\u00f3s Theater with 'La carne'; in addition, the Teatro del Temple company will offer 'The Machado Brothers at the Cuy\u00e1s Theater. The stage exhibitions conclude with 'Pog\u00fc\u00edritu', the creation of IMPULSO-Bibiana Monje, will be at 9:35 pm in the Miller Building.<\/p>\n

Tenerife dresses in MAPS<\/strong><\/p>\n

MAPS concentrates its musical activity on this island where the tricontinental industry will find a place to meet. The Espacio La Granja hosts two round tables this Thursday morning. 'Re-Inventar: Artes y Sociedad' will take place at 11:00 am with the presence of Ana Rodriguez (Relatable \/ F\u00edjate que suave - M\u00e9xico); Joaqu\u00edn \u00abKin\u00bb Mart\u00ednez (Esmerarte \/ Spain Music Federation - Spain); Igor Lozada (Culture UDG - Mexico). Moderated by Sergio Arbel\u00e1ez, from the Guadalajara International Music Fair in Colombia.<\/p>\n

At 12:30, the panel discussion \u2018Re-thinking: the new digital ecosystem for the performing arts. Gaps, directions and trends (music)\u2019 will bring together Patricia Cabrera from Controlfreaks in Mexico; Samantha Parwin from Parwin Music in Mexico, and Frank Klaff, representative of Womex, Germany. The discussion will be moderated by Ana Rodr\u00edguez.<\/p>\n

In the evening, Teatro Guimer\u00e1 and Centro de Arte La Recova will host nine showcase performances, each lasting half an hour. The concerts will be distributed between the two venues without overlapping, so the audience will be able to enjoy the full programme. Andr\u00e9s Molina will kick off the concert series at 17:00 in Teatro Guiner\u00e1. He will be followed by Morimoto Sisters, Alexis Alonso Quartet, Kino Ait Idrissen & Beselch Rodr\u00edguez and Troveros de Asieta at the same venue.<\/p>\n
