MAPAS opens with a musical, historical and dance tribute that connects the Canary Islands\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>with the world<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

"Give me Canary wine, and you, my beloved, rest here." In this passage of Henry IV, the universal\u00a0<\/span>writer William Shakespeare already discovered, in the sixteenth century, the value of Canarian\u00a0<\/span>wines. Under this premise, the opening show of the second edition of MAPAS<\/strong> will take place with\u00a0<\/span>the name Canarias: came to the world, a journey through \u201cmusic, stories and dances that connect the\u00a0<\/span>Canary Islands with the rest of the world through wine \u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

This artistic tribute will take place on Wednesday, the 11 th of July, at 21:30 in the Sala Sinf\u00f3nica of\u00a0<\/span>the Tenerife Auditorium. Canarias: vino al mundo is an original production of the Performative\u00a0<\/span>Arts Market of the South Atlantic, based on a universal theme rooted in the Archipelago. In it, the\u00a0<\/span>rhythms, choreographies, words and images come together with the audience in a dialogue that will\u00a0<\/span>Taste of "the sensations of wine, root music and dance" in "a curious and complex experience".<\/span><\/p>\n

The show, which will last 75 minutes and will be free for the public, recreates rough outlines of\u00a0<\/span>\u00abHistory, creativity and sensory pleasure\u00bb according to its music director and creator Benito\u00a0<\/span>Cabrera, through music and dance. Elements linked to the world of wine such as barrels, jugs,\u00a0<\/span>bottles or glasses \u00abbecome musical instruments that combine with the essencet\u00bb. Give me Canary\u00a0<\/span>wine, and you, my beloved, rest here \u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, corporal percussion, images, choreographies and narration will be added, which will delve\u00a0<\/span>into the importance of the Canarian wine through historical and anecdotal data.\u00a0<\/span>Ten musicians and four dancers will give life to this unique show, designed especially for the\u00a0<\/span>inauguration of MAPAS<\/strong>, in a dialogue \u00abfrom the Canary Islands to the universality of our culture\u00bb\u00a0<\/span>with the spectator.\u00a0<\/span>A whole tasting party that will end with a dj session and gastronomic proposals that all those who\u00a0<\/span>join this inaugural act of MAPAS<\/strong> will have the chance to enjoy.<\/span><\/p>\n
