MAPAS<\/strong>, Mercado de las Artes Performativas del Atl\u00e1ntico Sur, closes its registration period for artists, companies and groups with some 200 confirmed artistic projects from 40 countries in Latin America, Africa and Europe, with which it completes the expected number of participants. In addition, 60 of these artists will offer performances and samples of their proposals before the Tenerife public, who will be able to enjoy this cultural offer for free between July 11 and 15<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Around MAPS 2018<\/strong>, organized by the Cabildo of Tenerife<\/a>, An hour less<\/a> Y Circulart<\/a>, a complete professional programming will be articulated, with the organization of business rounds in which artists and programmers will hold meetings to try to close commercial agreements. Theater, dance, music, street arts or circus<\/strong> are some of the proposals that will turn Tenerife into the center of arts activity in the month of July, with a significant participation of Canarian artists, companies and groups<\/strong>. Countries such as Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Morocco, Mozambique, Republic of the Congo, Senegal, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Haiti, Mexico, Panama or Uruguay, among others, will also have a presence in the market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tenerife has managed to make a prominent place in the international agenda of the performing arts with MAPAS<\/strong>, whose first edition, held in 2017, generated high expectations among the artistic community, to the point of receiving this year more than 1,300 applications to participate in this professional market with which it seeks to promote business culture for the live arts.
