Descending from a family of Malian griots, Djely Tapa lights up the stage with a repertoire of songs that carry the audience from the Sahel through to blues and electro. His latest album, ‘Barokan’, reflects his musical identity and pays homage to women and Africanness. In May 2019, Djely Tapa was named Révélation Radio-Canada Musique du Monde.
