MAPAS, Market of Performative Arts of the South Atlantic, will celebrate its third edition between July 10 and 14, 2019. This has been announced by the organizing entities, Cabildo de Tenerife, unahoramenos and Circulart, after the success of the second edition, which during these days has made Tenerife a meeting point for the performing arts and music of the world.

The insular director of Culture of the Cabildo, José Luis Rivero, explains that “MAPAS continues, without a doubt, because the success of the first edition has raised the levels of this second meeting a lot and in the evaluation that we have been able to carry out we have verified that they have Again exceeded all expectations. MAPS counted a total of 15,568 attendees to the 56 free shows that were programmed in different cultural spaces of the capital of Tenerife and that they could enjoy theater, dance, circus and music performances from three continents. This amount represents an increase of 31 percent over the first year. The artistic quality of the shows has been one of the most prominent issues in this second edition of MAPAS, which has had internationally renowned creators and a wide representation of the performing arts and music of the Canary Islands.
